Scaffold Paint Crew

You may remember when the Legend Titan Band site first started – there was a picture of Mr. Otis sitting on a ladder and an update post was that we were looking for a scaffolding.

The scaffold arrived and was recently assembled by the LHS Titan Band Leaders and the Band Booster parents – where they held a painting party and painted the scaffolding Legend blue!

A New Season

Last Friday – our newest LHS Band Students received a small viewing of what band would be like. They were introduced to the leaders of the LHS Titan Band and learned basic drills of the band before heading off to band camp on Sunday.

It’s going to be an exciting year with the Titan Band – more photos then ever from the amazing parents that help support the band!

Leadership Tryouts 2010

On an early April Saturday morning, when most Legend Students were sleeping at 6:30am – 43 Titan Band students showed up for Leadership tryouts. The 3 hour tryout involved a bit of exercising – getting back into the Marching frame of mind, drills and demonstrating to Mr. Otis and to the other students they had the stuff to be a future leader for the Legend Titan Marching Band. Calling, teaching and executing commands, marching drills, conducting and performing flag routines were just some of the elements demonstrated during the day.

Leadership positions will be announced at the upcoming Legend/Cimarron Band Banquet and Awards night!

Congratulations to all who tried out! Thanks to everyone that auditioned and for showing your Legend Pride!

Feeder Concert

Last Thursday 2/25/10, the Legend High School Band featured with the feeder schools, both Elementary and Middle schools, treated friends and family to a night out for dinner and a concert afterwards. The Band Boosters served up a tasty spaghetti meal, a salad, bread and yummy desserts and then a standing room only of both students and guests filled the theater for an hour of music.

Movie Night & a Friendly Game of Dodge-ball

After a long day of performing in the pep game for 2 basketball games, many Legend Titan Band students welcomed both old and new band students by participating in Movie Night on Saturday, February 20th.

Incoming band students from all classes were invited for a fun night at the school with games, a scavenger hunt, food and a movie to watch in the theater with a full on game of dodge-ball in gym. Even the band booster parents got in the action of the dodge-ball game, but they were no match to our Legend Titan Band students!

San Diego / Disneyland – Take 2!

The pictures are still coming in! Thanks to Mr. Moroni – our second set of photos from the San Diego and Disneyland trip are online for viewing! If you would like to send in your photos – please send burn them to a cd and turn them into Mr. Otis or Mrs Rosa who will get them to the website admin. If you have video of the parade or any of the half time event from the game, please contact me and we’ll see how to get that online as well!
