Our 2nd Annual 2011 Titan Band Golf Tournament was a great success recently. With our very own Mr. Otis, Band President Rob Moroni and Legend Titan Principal Cory Wise – they completed their group of 4 with a band parent who won the 4th spot to play with them at our Silent Auction. It was a bit cold and windy at times, but the day was still nice enough to get a round in of golf and even a chance to try for a hole in one to win a car! We thank all the parents who donated their time to help make this event successful.

Congratulations to the Cimarron MS Band Students for an amazing spring concert on Wed. May 11th. The concert featured performances by the orchestra / 6th-7th-8th grade bands as well as the jazz band. The bands played fun and challenging music and the concert was enjoyed by all. Oh… and the jazz band was the BOMB’!!!!! Congratulations to Mrs. O’Connor (Band Director Extraordinaire) and all of the Cimarron Band Students! We are very excited about all of you becoming Legend Titans in the future! Keep up the good work!
Special Thanks to Karen Tarbell(principal Cimarron MS) for supporting the Performing Arts at the very HIGHEST LEVEL… She is an Exceptional Educational Leader!

Legend Jazz Band receives 1′s at the 41st Annual UNC-Greeley Jazz Festival.
They were also treated to an amazing and memorable concert by Chick Corea and Gary Burton!

Even though there were only a few positions available…This past Saturday, May 16th … 36 Outstanding Legend MB Students auditioned for 4 hours in their attempt to earn Leadership positions in the 2011 Legend Titan Marching Band… All of the students were very excited in knowing that this was the final stamp of a 364 day audition…
When asked, one student said what they learned from the day… was that— “No one gives you leadership, you have to earn it!”
I(Mr. Otis) and all of the returning leaders, who were also apart of the overall evaluation process, were impressed and excited about all of the auditions. Final results will be announced at the end of year Band Banquet on Friday, May 6th. Congratulations band members… you are all leaders…

The Legend Titan Band held their 2nd Annual Lock-In night right before the Thanksgiving Holidays. With a scavenger hunt, games, food (provided by Noodles), movies and a few good rounds of dodge-ball, the band wrapped up the season with laughter and more fun memories. Thank you also to everyone who donated a can for the Parker Task Force!

Our 2nd Annual Holiday Craft Fair was a success – crafter’s, band students and parents came out to help the Craft Fair held at Legend High School.
Along with our Used Book Sale, Concessions, Face Painting, Treats and and hand-made items donated by band parents – shoppers visited the many booths that offered plenty of hand-crafted items by local crafters.
Our own Legend Titan Band students arrived early on scene to help the crafter’s set up, helped with concessions, face painting and other jobs through out the day. We thank the parents for spending the day with us and helping as well –
Thank you to Mrs. Hamor and Mrs. Brewer for another successful Holiday Craft Fair!

The Legend Titan Band performed in the 1st Inaugural Legend High School Homecoming Parade – among other fun events this week, the Band decorated the hallway, had a pizza party, marched in the parade, performed during the Homecoming Pep Assembly and introduced the new Legend Fight song to the students.
