The band parents noticed at competitions and festivals that many band directors were wearing a warm, waterproof jacket with their name/band name embroidered on the front. We thought our AMAZING band director, who selflessly devotes many hours of blood, sweat and tears (not too many tears, we hope!) to our wonderful and talented children, to have one of these nice, warm jackets!

With the help of Mrs. Kimbrel who volunteered to do the embroidering, and Mr. Moroni who shopped and found a suitable jacket to purchase… and since our season was finishing before we knew it, the band parents wanted to see Mr. Otis wearing it THIS SEASON before many of our kids — Seniors, were finished with marching band. (Sniffle, sniffle!!) The jacket was presented to Mr. Otis before the Legend Marching Festival/Legacy Marching invitational.

Thank you Mr. Otis!!

The 2011-2012 show production for the Legend Titan Band is coming together and this weekend the Titan Color Guard attended a make-up class that let them get a chance to try out the new show make-up for this year’s production. It took 2 separate classes to host all the girls!

Thank you to the Captain of the Color-Guard – Rae and her mom Mrs. Thomas for putting this great event together!

Take a look at the before and afters!

The Legend Titan Marching Band Camp 2011 is well under way – and we don’t let a little (or a lot!) of hot weather get to us, but it sure was great today when some of the Band Booster Parents came up with a great way to cool off the Band Students by enlisting the help of the South Metro Fire Department!

Mrs. Thomas asked the Stroh Ranch Station to help cool the kids off during practice and they were more then happy to come out and soak the kids for a few minutes. While in formation, the kids would be get drenched with water and march when needed.

Diane with the Color Guard said “I did like it – it was very refreshing and I’m still drenched!” hours later.

Thank you South Metro Fire Station, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Farrar’s (for photos!) and the Band Booster Parents for making another fun memory at Band Camp!
