Congrats to Martha Oconnor and LHS Band Students…

…Congratulations to Mrs. O’Connor(Band Director-Cimarron MS) and 8 LHS band students for all of their work directing and teaching at the 2nd Annual LHS Elementary Summer Band Camp. Legend takes 4th at DCMI!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Legend HS Marching Band, they finished an amazing 4th place in FINALS out of 20 bands at the 2010 DCMI Festival! The judges were all very complimentary of and impressed by the maturity of sound, execution of drill, energy level and confidence of the show, displayed by our band members. Our best compliment of the day may have been from one judge who said, “This is not a 2nd year band – congratulations and keep it up”!

The band was also 4th in prelims and 3rd in the 4A class!

There is no doubt that the day was a tremendous team effort and as usual the band boosters were in fine form: Qtr. Master and Team/Pit and Prop Crew/Food, Water and Snack Crews/Support Crew -the only thing that can be said is simply, THANK YOU!!!! There are too many of you to mention. But a hearty “Yeah Band” and “Ahoo-Ahoo-Ahoo” to all of you!
See you at the next event…
