BinRenew Trash Can Pressure Washing Fundraiser

On Monday, July 16th the band will kickoff a new fundraiser with BinRenew Trash Can Pressure Washing Fundraiser! BinRenew is a trashbin cleaning service that comes directly to your location. The regular price for their trashbin cleaning service is $50 for two bins.

They have reduced the price to $25 for two bins for this fundraiser to support our program! The Legend HS Band will then receive $12.50 for every participating household that signs up. Dinner Night Out: Orange Leaf

Dine Out with us! Join us on Monday, July 16th at Orange Leaf. Located at 11280 S Twenty Mile Road, Parker, CO 80134 from 4pm-9pm. Guests will need to present the flyer (download below) or mention the fundraiser to the cashier prior to paying in order for the band to receive credit of 15% for each cup of delicious yogurt when the band is mentioned. Dine Out with us! Join us on Tuesday, July 10th from 5pm-9pm at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers – 11140 S Twenty Mile Road (near Target). Help support the Legend Titan Band, with your order – 15% of the proceeds will go to benefit the Band. Bingo Night! Friday March 24th / 7pm / Legend HS Commons

Coming up this Friday, March 24th is BINGO Night! at 7:00pm in the Legend HS Commons
Come and enjoy a night of Bingo games and fun in the Legend commons! All ages can play, but you must be 18 to purchase game cards. Cash prizes will be awarded. Concessions will be sold. Proceeds benefit the Legend band programs.

Parents! Our regular parents volunteering to help with Concession during bingo nights have other commitment and will not be able to help that evening. Therefore I am reaching out to you for HELP!!! We will need 2 parents to sell concession items, please contact me if you are interested to help

Our first candidate running for Treasurer is Jeannie Kries (son – Dylan, a freshman at Legend HS).
• I have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loma Linda University (in California)
• I’m a CPA (licensed in California; moved to Colorado in Oct. 2015)
• I am currently working for a small CPA firm located in Greenwood Village (as well as still providing tax consulting services for the San Diego company I’ve worked at for over 14 years)
• I’ve served as Treasurer for my son’s middle school in San Diego – 1 yr term (before we moved to Colorado).
• I’ve served as the Assistant Treasurer at our church (San Diego Central SDA Church, formerly known as San Diego Korean SDA Church) – approx. 3.5 yrs.
• I am passionate about the band program, Mr. Otis & staff’s dedication, and truly appreciate all the hard work and support the Boosters provide.

Katherine “Kat” Anderson – Secretary Nominee
“My name is Kathrine “Kat” Anderson and I’m interested in the position of Secretary for the 2017 season.

I am married to Tate Anderson who you see volunteer tearing with the Pit Crew on a regular basis the past two years. We have 4 children. My oldest daughter, Kara, is 20 and is living in Parker. My son, Ryan, is a Junior this year at Legend and plays trumpet. He participates in marching band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, pit for the musical, and pep band. My next daughter, Savannah, is currently a 7th grader at Parker Performing Arts and will be joining the marching band with her brother playing trumpet. Her main instrument is her violin and she also dances and loves music theatre. My youngest daughter, Téa, is currently a 5th grader at Parker Performing Arts. She plays the flute and loves ballet and jazz dancing.

My background is mostly as a musician. I play violin with the Arapahoe Philharmonic and can also play piano and clarinet. For three years I was the Secretary for the Orchestra Advisory Committee for the Arapahoe Philharmonic. I have also been the chairman of the Hospitality Committee and my daughters school. Lastly, I am the current Secretary for the Legend Band Programs for the 2016 season.

I love being a part of the Legend High School band programs and have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering my time in various aspects of the program, watching these amazing kids perform as well as grow as musicians and people. It’s a pleasure getting to know the parents and kids in the group and seeing how well people come together for the common good of the band.

2017 Legend Titan Festival

The 8th Annual Legend Marching Festival will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at EchoPark Automotive Stadium, 11901 Newlin Gulch Blvd, Parker, CO 80134.

The Legend Marching Festival:
• 1A, 2A, 3A, and Open Class Event, sanctioned by the Colorado Bandmasters Association
• Preliminary and Finals Competition
• Top 1A, 2A, 3A, and Open Class Bands guaranteed a spot in Finals Competition
• Open Class is any 4A or 5A band that did not make the CBA Semi-Finals or Finals in 2016

Festival Philosophy:
To provide a positive environment and competitive opportunity for 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A or 5A bands that meet the Open Class designation for this CBA modified format.

Once again, we will be providing: 1.Top notch Judges (2-3 from out of state) 2.A live “After the Performance” clinician for each band to review your preliminary performance 3.Great professional facilities(fields/stands/concessions/parking facilities/warm-up areas and outstanding hospitality…) Please fill out the application link below to hold a reservation for your band. Please Note: Your band’s reservation will be time stamped, but will not be guaranteed until payment has been received. There will only be 26 preliminary spots, so get your reservation in ASAP!

2017 New Parent/Student MB informational Meeting…1/5 7pm

New and Incoming Parents/Students for the 2017 Marching Band Season:

2017 New/Potential Member Marching Band Parent meeting – Thursday, January 5th 7pm – 8pm at Legend HS in the Band Room(refreshments will be served).

This meeting is for the parents of ALL NEW WOODWIND and BRASS students as well as any percussion or color guard that attended previous meetings in November.
