at the Colorado State Fair Parade and Band Shell Competition last Saturday in Pueblo. The Legend Titans 127 members strong were led in Parade by Drum Major Trey H. and Assistant Drum Major Rachel C. They received the 1st place 5A and 1st place Overall Sweepstakes meaning they were named the Top Band of the Day!… The Percussion and Color Guard were Amazing also. They dazzled the crowds all along the Parade Route and received many compliments. They Band was cheered every time they did one of their signature Half-Time moves during the Parade Song. :”Aint No Mountain High Enough” parents-Also watch for that Signature Move in the 2nd Production of this year’s field Show. Squad Captains Elizabeth M. / Jon B. / Jake B. worked the band very hard during Band Camp and the the first couple weeks of school.
Several students said, “they really enjoyed performing at the Band Shell because they were able to perform some of their field show music to such an appreciative audience.”

A special Thank You to all of the Parents who were able to attend and help with all of the little things as well as the big things. “From pouring a small cup of water or carrying a cymbal to getting ice for the coolers 3 times or pushing a marimba or cheering along the route” , please know it was ALL Greatly APPRECIATED! Thanks Parents..

Also a Hearty Congratulations to Thunder Ridge HS and Highlands Ranch HS for doing a Fantastic job at the Parade as well!!!! Yeah to all of the Douglas County Schools that participated!
Congratulations Titans!!!! Now Let’s get back to work!!!!!

Legend Band Parents, I want to take this moment to mention a very special Thank You to Andy Thomson – one of our own Legend Band Booster parents. Andy has been able to raise approximately $8200 for our band program! Thanks to his ‘thinking outside the box’ attitude, he has been very successful reaching out to his contacts and requesting donations for our band.

Andy, thank you for your ‘can do’ attitude toward fundraising for our kids. Band Parents – Andy is proof that there are people & companies out there that are willing to donate to a public charity (Legend Band Boosters) even in these economic times. Many of these contacts can probably be found in your own personal Rolodex! So take a few moments and reach out to those you feel may be able to donate to our band!

Thank you – Rob

Check This Out / Parents Getting involved thanks Sam/Phil…

Thank You to Rhonda and Sam Brown for Donating 2600 bottles of water and 20 cans of gatorade. That was not a typo 2,600 bottles of water — an entire pallet and all for our kids and especially your kid!!!! Sam and Rhonda are regular members of the pit crew and have made many donations on behalf of the band in the past — their daughter is Mallory and she is a member of the Color Guard. On Behalf of the band – Thanks!!!!!

Check This Out—Thank You to Cathy and Phil Irwin who have secured a slightly used Golf Cart for the Legend Titan Band Program!!! Phil was talking to a fellow golfer and overheard him say he had his own personal golf cart and was getting a new one. Phil sprung into action and now it is ours… It is in GREAT working condition and will come in quite handy, especially this year since our practice field is much further away from the band door. We will use it to help our injured students get back to the band area and to help with equipment and water when possible. Phil is the Legend Golf Tourney coordinator and Cathy is a food coordinator on all of the food crews… those parents that feed your kids!!! Their daughter is Emily and she plays Tenor Sax in the band and is a senior. We will definitely need someone to step up and help out after their daughter graduates. On Behalf of the band – Thanks!!!!!
