Join us Wednesday, May 16th, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm for our last restaurant night of the school year! We are celebrating the end of the school year at Joe’s Crab Shack, 19320 Cottonwood Drive. Seniors, this is your last day of school! We hope you will be there celebrating, reminiscing, and having fun with your band family and friends one last time. The rest of the students, come enjoy a night out before having to study for finals, say a last good-bye to the seniors, and congratulate our new leaders. Please remember to bring in the attached flyer; the band will receive 10% of the sales. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. The more people who come, the more money we make.

The potential student:
1. Will be a beginner / 1st , 2nd or 3rd year player (entering the 4th, 5th, or 6th grade)
2. Has a willingness or desire to play a Band or Orchestra instrument and Have Fun While Doing it!
3. Has transportation to and from camp
4. Will have an instrument in good working condition and music supplies

Performances
The Band, Choir, and Orchestra performed today. The Choir and Orchestra appeared both in a shopping mall and park Gazebo, and the band just played in the park. Enjoy!

The entire Legend Performing Arts groups had a great time at the Luau. It was a great chance to have fun, socialize, and let our guard down.

Restaurant Night: Del Taco

Del Taco Night
Our next restaurant night will be at Del Taco, 11147 Pikes Peak Drive, on Wednesday, April 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The band will receive 20% of the net sales during this time period so please invite all your family and friends. No flyer is needed. Both our new band booster board members and Mr. Otis will be there during this time so this is your chance to meet them, visit, ask questions, and just have fun with all the other band families. Del Taco is a big supporter of our band program. They have fed our entire band (120+ people) during football games, donated cups and napkins, and donated items for our Silent Auction. Let’s please show our gratitude by filling their restaurant with band families and don’t forget to wear your Legend Blue!

sanctioned by Colorado Bandmasters Association with Preliminaries and Finals competition to include the Top 1A, 2A, 3A & Open Class Bands guaranteed a spot in the finals NEW THIS YEAR: Open Class/Modified Format = Any 4a or 5a band that did not make the CBA Semi-finals in 2011

• All 24 participating bands will receive a beautiful commemorative plaque
• 9 of the participating 1A 2A 3A bands will perform in the Finals including at least two from each of the 1A, 2A, and 3A divisions plus the next 3 highest scoring bands regardless of class NEW THIS YEAR! • 3 of the participating Open Class bands(as described above) will also perform in the Finals
• All participants in the finals will receive a Finalist Banner
• Trophies awarded to the 1A, 2A, 3A & Open Class Champions

Qdoba $1 Day
Tuesday, March 20, is band day at Qdoba, 11215 S. Parker Road. Bring in the attached flyer and the band will receive $1 for every entrée or kid’s meal purchased. The offer is good all day long. Students, if you are able to go off campus for lunch, support your band and have lunch at Qdoba. It doesn’t matter if you dine-in or take-out, just remember your flyer and enjoy your meal! See everyone there!

• What: Family Picnic and Drive One 4 UR School Fundraiser

• Where: Legend High School Band (North – Lower) Parking Lot (accessed from Canterbury Pkwy)
• Family pot luck from 11:30 to 1pm
• Lots of fun activities including a craft fair, games and prizes!
Join us Saturday April 28th for a family picnic featuring free hot dogs, pot-luck, games with prizes, a craft fair, special pie throwing opportunities (Mr. Otis anyone??) AND the Ford Drive One 4 UR School fundraiser. Bring your extended family and make a day of it to help the band raise up to $6000 with the support of Groove and Ford. For every driver (one per household) over the age of 18 who test drives a car provided by Groove, Ford will donate $20 to the band. WE NEED 300 DRIVERS TO REACH THE MAXIMUM OF $6000!!! This will cost us nothing – nothing to buy – nothing to donate – just a 15 minute test drive in a brand new Ford!!!
Special opportunity for band family businesses:
What goes with food, fun games and fundraising??? Shopping, of course! To give our family picnic a festival air, we have invited loyal crafters from the annual craft fair to set up tables and offer some of their items to anyone interested. We are also inviting any band families that have a business they want to promote to set up a table. Anything goes, from Avon to Shaklee to StateFarm to massage therapy – as long as it is family-friendly and meets school guidelines (no alcohol, guns, etc). THIS IS FREE and intended to be a low-key scenario without any pressure on folks to buy (but of course they can!)… a great opportunity to let people know what you do. If you’re interested in having a table, or learning more, please contact Heidi Bradfield at Heidi@bradfield.org.
