PLEASE REMEMBER these are just reminders of already published info!Percussion / Color Guard Camp
(All Percussion and Guard members)
July 11th – 15th 9am – 2pm
Bring Snack/Lunch/Water Bottle/Sunscreen/Sun Glasses/Caps/Good Foot Wear/
Appropriate Clothing

New Member Orientation CampAny one that was not in the Legend Marching Band in the fall season of 2010 will attend this camp
Friday, July 15th 9am – 1pm
New Percussion and Color Guard Members will only attend the 1st hour of this event. Then resume with their regular scheduled camp!
Current Band Leaders will be in attendance to mentor new students
Lunch will be provided for all new members and leaders on this day.
Leadership Camp(selected student leaders only)

July 15th – 16th at Legend – Band Leaders arrive at Legend 9am
to help w New Member Orientation Camp
Band Leaders will stay overnight at an area hotel (hear guest speaker and engage in leadership activities)

Full Band Camp at Legend HSMonday, July 19th – Friday, July 29th (no weekends)
ALL CAMPS WILL BE HELD AT LEGEND HS….
NOTE: The above Summer Camp schedule allows us NOT to have to practice 4 or 5 times a week during the regular school year (fall season) –

NOTE: Once the school year starts Band students have
All Mondays, Wednesdays and (9)Fridays and (4)Saturdays off…
*Color Guard and Percussion Members do rehearse on Wednesdays after school.
NOTE: Attendance at Summer Camp, Fall Season Practices, Performances including all Home football games, parades and competitions and exhibitions are required for membership in the
Legend Titan Marching Band.

A Payment plan of $193.00 p/month is available
May 19th / June 19th / July 19th
Or you can make the full payment anytime before July 19th
What costs more than May – December Marching Band

Remember in Band there is no 2nd team players (EVERYBODY starts and plays in EVERY event and performance) In band everyone is a 1st team – STAR player! No one sits on the bench!

What does your Marching Band Participation Fee HELP Cover(in Blue)
1. Helps Subsidize all Band Booster Financial Resposibilities (PLEASE VOLUNTEER and HELP US)
To include but not limited to:
Staff Payroll
*Band Materials/supplies
example(batteries for mics / cables / chalk for drill / tape / copy fees)
*Band Meals or Drinks
(35 practices / 5 home football games / 9 festival/contest performances)
Senior Band Recognition Night (last football game)
MS Band Night (more of everything is needed for this night)
Band Banquet
Senior Awards Spring
Parent Demo Night
EOB Camp Pool Party
Props / Tarps
Props / Sideline Panels
Marching Music
Visual / Drill Writing Fees
Penske Truck Rental / Gas / Insurance (16 dates) 3 more than last year
Band Banner
New Instruments (Baritone / Mellophone / Snare Drum / Marimba Rental)
Unexpected emergencies(there were several last year)
2. Staff Salaries / May – October
3. Band Shoes(may deduct $25 if Mrs. Kimbrel Deems your shoes are good for another season)
4. Band Wind Breaker Jacket(may deduct $25 if you still have your jacket from last year)
5. Band Camp T Shirt (BOL Camp shirt)
6. Band Show Shirt for under uniform
7. Band Gloves
8. Subsidize District Transportation Fee
-(because of increased band size we will add an additional bus for every event this year)

9. Registration fees for 8 Events/Contests
10. Additional Color Guard Equipment and Uniforms
