Benefiting the Legend High School Band Boosters – the 1st Annual Titan Thunder Poker Run is going to be the ride of a life time!

Where: Ride starts at Legend High School

Registration beings at 8:30am, last bike out at 10:30am!

Entry free is $25.00 per rider, $10.00 for passenger, extra hands may be purchased for $10.00.

Join the fun! There will be a silent auction, door prizes, and a 50/50 pot as well!

Boston’s Fundraiser Night

Mark your calendars – Tuesday, March 29th from 4-8 p.m. The place to be is Boston’s Restaurant (19340 E. Cottonwood Dr., across from the hospital). A group of our kids will be there playing music and we will have guest servers, some of our band parents. The band will receive 15% but you must bring in their flyer or you can simply mention you are there for the band. Better yet, let’s all wear our Legend blue and fill the restaurant with a sea of blue! So, come visit with Mr. Otis and other band parents while enjoying dinner. It is a sports bar so don’t worry about missing any of those important games! However, if you aren’t able to stay, the offer is good for take-out and delivery too.

LHS Color Guard Field Trip…. Saturday 3/26

The 2011 LHS CG Team will take their 1st official Field Trip and Team Bonding Experience this Saturday, March 26th to the Winter Guard State Championships. The 32 member LHS CG team is very excited about the wonderful opportunity to see great performances by other CG ensembles…

Great Job Parents/Students/Supporters…

Great Job Parents / Students / Supporters and Friends of the Legend Band Program. The 3rd Annual Silent Auction and Poker Tournament (held last Saturday) in support of the LHS Band program was a great success! Thanks to everyone that was involved… Whether you were : (Securing Building Usage – Making sure the catering was set and ready to go – Performing Go Fight Win at the entrance as guests arrived – Decorating – Organizing others – Preparing Baskets – Making Donations-Purchasing Items – Bidding on Items – Providing snacks and Deserts – Providing the Picture show all evening – Working the registration and bid Tables – Participating in the $1 Auction Game – Playing a Little Friendly Poker – Providing Support for the poker tables – Making Sure Khols volunteers made it – Performing the Eagles Greatest Hits and other favorites all night – Working odd jobs the Night of the event – Breaking down and cleaning up at the end of the night) You were the reason the night was a success! … and FINALLY…
Many Kuddos to Deb Hamor and Kathryn Brewer and their entire team for making this happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were several guests during the evening that were not parents – but just supporters, who approached me to say that they were very impressed with the event and our parent organization for pulling this off!!!!!! Thanks Legend Band Parents / You Are the Best!

1A, 2A, 3A Event sanctioned by Colorado Bandmasters Association will include Preliminaries and Finals competition with the Top 1A, 2A and 3A Bands guaranteed a spot in the finals

Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Sports Authority Stadium / (formerly Burt.com Stadium) the newest stadium in the Douglas County School District, located in Parker, CO

• All 20 participating bands will receive a beautiful commemorative plaque
• One half of the participating bands will perform in the Finals including at least two from each of the 1A, 2A, and 3A divisions plus the next 4 highest scoring bands regardless of class
• All participants in the finals will receive a Finalist Banner
• Trophies awarded to the 1A, 2A, & 3A Champions plus the overall top 3 scoring bands

Free parking for spectators. Large parking areas for buses and equipment trucks. Comfortable viewing area for all guests. Spacious practice fields available for band, guard and percussion warm-up. Professional, artificial turf competition surface. Electricity is available on the 50-yard line. A variety of affordable concessions will be available throughout the event.

new3/13 Legend HS to host summer ELEMENTARY Band/Orchestra camp…

Legend HS will host a Beginning summer Band/Orch Camp June 20-24. The camps main instructors will be Martha Oconnor – Director of Bands and Orchestras at Cimarron MS. Kurt Stroman Director of Orchestra at Legend HS and Orlando Otis Director of Bands at Legend HS.

Beginning, 1st or 2nd year band/orch students from the Legend Feeder area and throughout the district are invited to participate in this great summer camp experience for young players. For more info or a camp application…
