Just in time for Valentineʼs Day! DOVE CHOCOLATE!!

The Band Boosters are partnering with the private sales division of Dove Chocolate to bring you an amazing assortment of chocolates. The Boosters will receive 50% of the proceeds to help support your student in the amazing band programs at Legend High School.

There are three ways to order:

1. Print out the attached order form, fill it out and send it in, along with payment with your student and drop off in an envelope labeled “Chocolate” to the box outside of Linda Rozsaʼs office. Legend High School Band-Dove order form / January 2011 Customer Promo-2
2. Call or email Allison Shride and place your order with her.
3. Call or email Lestra Dʼagosta, our Dove Chocolate Discoveries representative, with your order. Be sure to tell her youʼre with the Legend High School Band program.

We are able to take cash, checks and mastercard and visa. Unfortunately, we cannot take orders on line at this time.

All orders need to be received by January 28th to ensure delivery in time for Valentineʼs day. Order pick up will be on Friday, February 11th.
Dove Chocolate has a special Valentineʼs Day box of mixed chocolates and treats for $39 and shipping is included. This decadent assortment is made fresh the day you order.

Dove Chocolate will ship directly to your friends and family out of town. See shipping prices on the second page of the order form for rates.

Tuesday, 1/25 – Pizza Night at Lil Ricci’s

Mention the Legend Titan Band when you get your dinner from 5 to 9 pm Tuesday 1/25/11 at Lil Ricci’s Pizza and 20% will be donated to the band. Our kids LOVE pizza, so here’s a chance to give the family cook a night off AND contribute to the cause!

Promotion includes dine in and take out, however, no other coupons or promotions can be used.

Becoming world class musicians and fielding world class marching, concert and Jazz band programs through our school wouldn’t be possible without the support of businesses and community organizations. In the past, the Legend Titan Band program has appreciated the generous support provided by the many donors and sponsors for our various events. This year we are making a concerted effort to reach out to the business community and present you with advertising opportunities that offer you marketing exposure.

All of the advertising opportunities are designed to provide exposure to your company within the affluent band family including players, parents, extended family and the larger Legend school body. Some of the options have visibility around the state while others are typically localized to the greater Parker area. Our program is geared to meet your marketing objectives. You determine which of our advertising options reach your target market, decide how often you want them to see your message, and then select the opportunities that fit within your budget.

New Student Teacher

Hello Titans, please help me welcome our new Student teacher – Mr. Kevin Walsh from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Kevin, is a clarinet and woodwind specialist and is finding his new job to be very rewarding.

Legend High: Ice Dance

Watch the Legend Basketball team beat Chaparral on Friday January 14, then come to the Ice Dance! Celebrate winter with friends at the Legend High School dance featuring a DJ, karaoke contest and flower giving. Friday January 14th from 9 to 11 pm in the school commons. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased during lunch the week of the dance, or at the door. Give flowers to a friend, $1 each ordered in advance…see who has the most flowers waiting for them!

Band Booster Meeting

Our next Band Parent Booster meeting is Wednesday January 12th at 6:30pm in the bandroom at LHS.

13 Legend Band Students to perform at Boettcher

13 Legend band students will perform at the Boettcher Concert Hall in Downtown Denver on Monday, January 10th at 7pm. The Continental League Honor Band/Choir/Orchestra Concert begins at 7pm and tickets may be purchased at the door before the concert begins.

Legend Instructors Receive Recognition/Awards

2 members of the Legend Band Staff receive recognition for their work in their areas of expertise! 1. Legend’s Color Guard instructor Ms. Kylene San Miguel’s Professional Dance group – ” Louder Than Words” was featured on the front page of the Arts Section in Denver Post Today. 2. Legend’s Percussion Instructor Tohbias Juniel and One of the Top Drummers in the Rocky Mtn. Region will be heading off to Anaheim, CA this week to be the featured Drum Set player at the 2010 NAMM show cover band. Mr. Juniel was selected from more than 100 drummers nationwide and Ms. San Miguel is in heavy demand as a dance and fitness expert.

We are VERY Fortunate to have such amazing people working with our kids!

Congratulations again to both Kylene and Tohbias.
